Techgenyz.com has been covering technology news since 2018. The site started as a straightforward blog tracking smartphone releases and Android updates, run by a small team that was tired of wading through ad-heavy aggregators to find out what was actually happening in tech. Over time the coverage expanded to include AI research, startup funding, cybersecurity incidents, gaming, and digital lifestyle. The audience grew because the writing stayed direct. No sponsored opinion pieces dressed up as news, no recycled press releases with the brand name swapped out.
The Chrome extension came out of a simple frustration: the Techgenyz team noticed that a lot of readers were opening the site first thing in the morning as a quick check-in, then closing it and getting on with their day. Building a toolbar extension was a way to make that check-in faster. The first version launched in late 2023 and was rebuilt from scratch in early 2025 to add category filtering, dark mode, and the image card layout. The current version is published by Abhinava Innovations and carries a 4.8 rating on the Chrome Web Store.
